Unlike most file-conversion services, HeicToPng.org operates primarily as a client-side tool. Your files are processed directly within your web browser and are not uploaded to our servers. This architecture provides an enhanced level of privacy and security compared to traditional server-side converters.

1. The Zero-Upload Architecture

1.1 Local File Processing

When you use our tool to convert HEIC files, the process occurs locally on your device using WebAssembly and modern browser APIs. We do not upload your image files to our servers. Because your files never leave your device:

We have no access to your photos.
We cannot view, store, copy, or share your content.
There is no risk of files being intercepted in transit, because no transit occurs.

1.2 No File Retention

Since we never receive your files, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Once you close the browser tab or refresh the page, any data processed in your browser's temporary memory is cleared by your operating system.

2. Information We Do Collect

While we do not collect your files, we collect certain non-personal information to maintain and improve the Service.

2.1 Usage Data

We may collect information your browser sends whenever you visit our Service, including:

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so we can take steps to remove it.
